I went into school today for the start of a week long professional development...here is the good, the bad, and the ugly of it all...
The Good:
- I was able to see some of my good friends! We sat at the same table during the morning meeting and it was a great time of catching up (even if we were catching up during some of the presentation...oops, why are teachers the worst at being a student?)
- Bumping into an old student, from my 2nd year of teaching, while getting my lunch out of my car (yeah, I accidentally left it in there). It was really great to see him and talk to him about his summer. I'm hoping to go to some of his football games this year :)
- I got a free binder that I am going to make as my data binder this year, considering the one I had last year broke. rip.
- I was able to go into my classroom and start reorganizing and moving things around.
The Bad:
Finding out that the school you work your little pa-toot-ie at is in the bottom 10 of schools in the area. :( That made me feel terrible and two feet tall.
The Ugly:
My classroom...it looks a cray mess!

Just look at it this way, you can only go up from where you are. I like the feeling of a crazy room, as long as it's pre-planning and I have plenty of Starbucks.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I completely agree! I like changing it up a bit every year, so that is why everything is always in the center of the room!
DeleteTake care,
Amy
